As much as night drives are one of my favourite hobbies, night rides have been exciting me more nowadays, maybe due to novelty factor but yeah, I waited for these moments so long, I still remember back in the day when all my friends used to have a nice motorcycle and used to go for long night rides often with their GFs and whenever I used to ask someone to let me borrow their bike for some time so that I can enjoy a night ride too, everybody refused and I was left alone at my hostel room whilst everybody is enjoying, during those days, I used to see bike posters and imagine myself wearing a riding suit and enjoying my OWN motorcycle, one day. It took time but it did!
Coming to some more observations, which go as follows
- The headlights are really good with useful pass function, making the night rides so much safer especially given the fact that we've too many potholes and unmarked speed breakers on our roads which appear out of nowhere. I'm liking it very much!
- I'm really loving the rear 3/4th profile of the bike and especially during the night the LED taillights look fantastic, also the licence plate light is white LED too makes it look that much more cool and premium, even my SUV gets poor halogen bulb for the licence plates but I'm soon going to retrofit LEDs into them.
- The horn is really loud and effective in our traffic.
- As much as I love the lighting setup I wished Suzuki gave the Gixxer LED turn signals, at least as an accessory, similar to Yamaha R15, it does help in adding that sophisticated touch, also unlike many other modern bikes, Gixxer doesn't have a hazard signal, which is a bad thing IMO and something Suzuki needs to update ASAP.
- The seats are comfy and since the position is not very committed, even a novice like me had no problems in riding the bike in traffic for relatively long times.
- I'm really in love with the Matte Black paint finish of the bike and it complements my black cars too! The bike looks understated but very elegant as compared to loud and flashy KTMs we've around with their riders being similary flashy most of the times, if you get it. I know some KTM fans would be angry on me but sadly KTMs image in India is damaged beyond repair due to those incorrigible fools and their stupid acts out on public roads.
The riders' POV. Really love the light throw, this is low beam as I never ride with high beams on public road, be it bikes or cars and never recommend from doing so to others as well
The front end looks striking!
The rear looks mean too!
My personal favourite angle of the Gixxer! The dual exhausts give some character to the bike, similar to my SUV!
Thank you Tony
